Peter Vande Brake - Turning Point Missions

Peter Vande Brake | President of Board

Peter Vande Brake has worked in ministry and private school administration for his entire career. He has a BA from Calvin College, and M.Div. from Union Theological Seminary in Virginia, and a PhD from Calvin Theological Seminary. He is the president of the board of Turning Point Missions. He is married and has two daughters. He is currently the principal at The Potter's House High School in Grand Rapids, MI, an urban Christ-centered school.

Mark Wybenga - Turning Point Missions

Mark Wybenga | CO-FOUNDER & Chief Operating Officer

Mark Wybenga is a self-employed, licensed residential builder. He founded Turning Point Builders, Inc. in 2007 where he specialized in renovations, new construction and finished carpentry in both the residential and multi-unit housing markets.  

Mark is responsible for the day to day on-site operations of Turning Point Missions, Inc.  He is in charge of all scheduling, coordination of workers and various trades and does much of the carpentry work as well.

Mark is married and has three children.  He loves to camp and boat with his family. He also enjoys running, biking and spending time outdoors.

Tom Doane - Turning Point Missions

Tom Doane | Co-founder &  Chief Financial Officer

Tom has a BS in Business Administration from Aquinas College, a BS in Engineering from Michigan Tech, and a MS in Environmental Engineering from University of Michigan. After serving in the US Army in the Republic of Panama, Tom worked for several engineering firms designing water & wastewater treatment facilities before joining BDO Seidman’s tax department working in the real estate area.  Tom retired from BDO in 2008.

Tom has been married to Elise for 48 years. They have three grown children and four grandchildren.  Tom and Elise enjoy hiking, biking, and traveling.

Grey Larison - Turning Point Missions

Grey Larison | Board Secretary

Grey R. Larison, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist working with Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services in Grand Rapids, MI.  He is also an Elder at Oakhill Presbyterian Church (E.P.C.) where he and his wife, Judy, have been members for over 35 years.  Grey and Judy have two married sons and three grandchildren.  Grey serves as the Secretary on the Turning Point Missions Board.

David Dalrymple | Board Member

Dr. Dalrymple is an Oral Surgeon who lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan with his wife Sue and two high school sons Collin and Trevor. His grown daughter Lucia lives in the Philadelphia area. He graduated dental school at the University of Buffalo and medical school at the University of Pennsylvania. He has been active in youth ministry, worship, and writes a Christian blog.
